Rachel Jarvis
Hey! My name is Rachel Jarvis and I'm a native of Boulder. I graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2009 with over 1,000 hours of training. I have a very special talent for bringing love, compassion, and sensitivity to your session. I also have the ability to listen deeply with my hands, tuning into your special needs for your individual bodywork session. I have been with Bodywork Bistro for over 2 years and look forward to each and every session with my clients.I specialize in a variety of different modalities including deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology, as well as normalization of soft tissue and structural integration. Normalization of Soft Tissue (NST) is a specific technique combining deep tissue and trigger point therapy. During my time with clients, I like to integrate all of these techniques into one session.
My clients have commented that I have a soothing, comforting, and nurturing touch. Able to tune in with my warm hands to relax the acute tension or chronic issues you may be facing. Growing up I developed a deep love for animals whom I passionately love, train, and enjoy helping to heal. I have compassion for working with the disabled and have volunteered in a variety of establishments including the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center. I specialize in Canine and Equine massage, as well as a trainer and behaviorist.
With over 22 years of experience with these magnificent creatures I own everything from snakes to horses and have a wide range of knowledge. I am happy to advise anyone who has a question about their beloved pet, or just want their companion to receive some life balancing massage! Also I have trained my Great Dane to be a certified Therapy dog, Canine Corp Dog, as well as my personal service dog. He even graduated from massage school with honors! We visit nursing homes and hospitals bringing smiles and joy to everybody we meet.
